Junior & Youth Sailing
Junior sailing is rapdily growing in the SAIL region, including
learn-to-sail & racing.
Learn-to-Sail programs for youth are at several
lakes in the area.
- Community Sailing Foundation of Colorado operates learn-to-sail
programs at Cherry Creek (Denver) & Standley (Westminster) lakes.
- Carter Lake Sailing Club organizes a sailing camp for youth each
summer at Carter Lake, west of Berthoud.
- Dillon Yacht Club organizes a junior sailing program at Lake Dillon.
- Union Sailing Club's program is at Union Reservoir in Longmont.
SAIL orgainzes a junior race tour of four regattas each summer:
- Pram Regatta at Cherry Creek in June. Boats are provided by Community
Sailing
- Carter Lake Junior Open,
- Junior Olym,pic Sailing Festival at Union Reservoir
- Cherry Creek Junior Open.
